Human in the LoopJonathan Harrell’s Commonplace Book

In quiet places, when the day is old
And I feel the night-chill seeping out of the grass,
I would sit beneath the trees, if I could,
I would walk beside the still and darkening waters,
I would wrap myself up in warm, living earth,
And become a sighing gentle green thing.

A shaded forest path leading to a lakeside clearing, where several Adirondack chairs are arranged in a circle. The calm blue water and distant tree line are visible beyond the trees, creating a peaceful and secluded scene.
