Human in the LoopJonathan Harrell’s Commonplace Book

The old machines sink down in silence.
Ancient wheels—the circumference of rust.
A field becomes a fen, then a forest,
Old paths gone deep under green.

Rusty, overgrown farming equipment sits forgotten among trees in a wooded area. The metal wheels and gears are partially consumed by vines and fallen leaves, blending into the natural surroundings.
A narrow dirt path winds through a lush forest, flanked by tall trees just beginning to leaf out. The forest floor is covered in green undergrowth, and the canopy overhead is sparse with early spring foliage.
